DLSS-NR-on-AMD’s Alpha 0.8.0 release notes, published October 17, 2026, list four DLSS-related modules for Radeon: Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, Neural Rendering and Frame Generation. The unofficial community project attaches specific conditions to some features, including a requirement for DLSS Frame Generation inputs for its stated x4 mode. Its README says the project is not affiliated with or endorsed by AMD or NVIDIA.

What Alpha 0.8.0 lists for Radeon

The four modules have different stated functions and conditions; the release notes do not describe a single, uniform feature set across games.

ModuleRelease-note detail
DLSS Super ResolutionNative ports of models M and L; the project says Model L works at any upscaling ratio.
Ray ReconstructionA native HIP and DirectX 12 port of Model F for games that supply DLSS-RR ray-traced inputs. The notes described FSR-RR inputs as a planned later addition.
Neural RenderingMultipass mode with up to three passes per frame, each with its own style and intensity settings.
Frame GenerationUp to x4 Multi Frame Generation in games that provide DLSS Frame Generation inputs.

The release notes also add DLSS Super Resolution and Ray Reconstruction support for RDNA 3, and describe a DirectX 12 mode for that GPU generation. The project says FSR 4.1.1 upscaling is bundled with the mod and no longer depends on the graphics driver. Its redesigned NeuralHub mod manager centralizes large files, updates the installed DLL and supports importing DLLs for reuse across games.

What the performance figures describe

The project’s Alpha 0.8.0 notes report a 25% Neural Rendering performance improvement on RDNA 3. Separately, its Alpha 0.7.0 notes report a 6–16% increase under heavy gameplay loads in DirectX 12 mode after temporal accumulation was enabled in pre-upscale mode. These are project-reported figures for different versions and conditions.

Requirements for the Neural Rendering workflow

For its Neural Rendering workflow, the README lists Windows 11, a DirectX 12 game using FSR, AMD Adrenalin driver 26.1.1 or later, and the user’s own nvngx_dlssnr.dll version 310.8.0.0. The README identifies Radeon RX 9000 as tested and says RX 7000 should work. It also says games with anti-cheat will block the DLL and advises using it only when anti-cheat is off.
