RPCS3 announced on October 31, 2026, that its Loadable category had zero games after an SPU emulation fix moved Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. 2 to Ingame. The project credited Yahfz and described the change in its announcement.
What the SPU fix changed for H.A.W.X. 2
RPCS3 said the fix recreates the SPU thread loader and the arguments the PlayStation 3’s LV2 kernel leaves in Local Store when an SPU group starts. It does this before loading the code image, which RPCS3 said prevents loader corruption. In short, the change addresses how the emulator sets up SPU threads at startup.
What Ingame and Playable mean
RPCS3’s compatibility labels describe different outcomes. Loadable means a game displays a black screen while its framerate appears in the window title. Ingame means it reaches gameplay, but it may still have serious glitches, insufficient performance, or problems that prevent completion. Playable is the category for games that can be completed with playable performance and no game-breaking glitches.
So H.A.W.X. 2’s move to Ingame was a compatibility step, not a report that the game had reached Playable. Zero games in Loadable described that category in RPCS3’s October 31 announcement; it did not mean every PS3 game could be completed.
RPCS3 had separately reported on October 21 that 80% of its tracked library was Playable. That was a different milestone, covered in our earlier report.
