Apocalypse has already gathered his four horsemen, and Charles has a team of young X-Men to help him save humanity. The war begins in the new trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse.
We've already talked about the plot of X-Men: Apocalypse, but to give a brief synopsis: Apocalypse is an ancient mutant who awakens after thousands of years and now plans to dominate the world. To prevent this, a young Charles Xavier (Professor X), along with Raven (Mystique), must lead a team of young X-Men to save humanity. This time Fox presents a new and spectacular trailer of X-Men: Apocalypse, full of action and with several interesting details that any fan of the series will appreciate.
The trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse shows a bit of everything. From Charles opening the School for Gifted Youngsters, a mansion to teach mutants to explore and control their powers, to the origin of Apocalypse in Egypt (where something was already seen in the post-credits scene of X-Men: Days of Future Past), which seems to deviate from the original comic story. We also see Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto) talking to Charles in the mansion's basement, and here we can speculate that he is helping him with Cerebro (recall that in the first movie Charles tells Wolverine that Magneto helped him build it).
The action scenes take place in New York City, where Apocalypse's Four Horsemen—Psylocke, Angel, Storm, and Magneto—face off against the young X-Men, who wear new costumes when fighting. A confrontation where only the strongest will survive. The film's cast includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, Josh Helman, Lana Condor, and Ben Hardy, among others. Directed by Bryan Singer (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and written by Simon Kinberg (Fantastic Four), X-Men: Apocalypse will be released in 2D and 3D theaters on May 27, 2016.
