A Digital Foundry test published by DF Clips reports that AMD FSR 4.1 Lite delivered about a 19% uplift in Quality mode and an average uplift of about 35% in a Resident Evil scenario on the ROG Xbox Ally X20, compared with native 1080p. The reported X20 testing included 25 W and 35 W power settings.
What the X20 test reports
Native 1080p means the game renders at 1080p without being upscaled from a lower resolution. Digital Foundry’s reported percentages use that as the baseline; the test also covered FSR 4.1 Lite at 25 W and 35 W. Those power settings are part of the test, but the reported percentages do not map each result to a specific setting.
The two comparisons use different baselines
The FSR 4.1 Lite percentages compare against native 1080p. A separate set of ROG Xbox Ally X20 figures compares FSR 4 Performance with FSR 3 Balanced, so those results answer a different question. NeoTeo previously covered the FSR 4.1 preview and setup for the ROG Xbox Ally X and X20.
FSR 4 Performance versus FSR 3 Balanced
Tom’s Guide reported these frame rates for the X20. The first two games were tested at 1080p High with frame generation off; Forza Horizon 6 was tested at 1080p Medium.
| Game and settings | FSR 3 Balanced | FSR 4 Performance |
| Spider-Man: Miles Morales, 1080p High, frame generation off | 58 FPS | 63 FPS |
| God of War Ragnarök, 1080p High, frame generation off | 39 FPS | 43 FPS |
| Forza Horizon 6, 1080p Medium | 54 FPS | 55 FPS |
Forza Horizon 6 also had seven reported stutters with FSR 3 Balanced and two with FSR 4 Performance.
