The three-game comparison covers all of Leonida
GamesRadar also describes Leonida’s total landmass, including Vice City and surrounding areas, as nearly as large as the playable maps of Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto V, and Red Dead Redemption 2 combined. The comparison covers the wider fictional state, with Vice City as part of it.
The feature also recounts a 90-minute demonstration of a current build, played without a prepared script by Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson.
Interiors and systems add detail to the scale
Rockstar North co-studio head Aaron Garbut described the interior count as “an order of magnitude more” than in earlier games. GamesRadar also reports roughly 600,000 NPC animations, with reactions shaped by characters’ traits, location, what they have seen, and player behavior.
The feature describes narrower roads and highways than in Grand Theft Auto V and a longer day-night cycle. Its account of the demonstration includes functioning bus and train systems, while its weather descriptions bring together clouds, wind, humidity, fog, time, and season.
A fan-made map has its own 100-plus markers
GameSpot described the interactive Leonida map as a fan-made work in progress in its May 2025 account. The project drew on trailer analysis, community findings, and alleged leaks. GameSpot counted more than 100 points of interest on the map, with some locations identified as speculative.
