After some last-minute hurdles in the final stretch of production, Justice League is finally ready for its big-screen debut on November 17. Directed largely by Zack Snyder—who stepped down after a family tragedy—and completed by Josh Whedon, the film has received its final trailer from DC, and we're here to break down all the details.
A few months ago, we told you the story of Zack Snyder and his departure from the project due to personal issues, who left the project in the hands of his friend Josh Whedon, who knows a thing or two about directing superheroes after helming Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, as well as the announced Batgirl, which still has no release date. Doubts and ghosts started to emerge after several failed DC experiences on the big screen, with the exception of Wonder Woman, which raised the bar a bit. What the Final Trailer Shows
The opening minute shows Lois Lane (Amy Adams) mourning the death of Clark Kent (Henry Cavill). Then we see the invasion of Darkseid's army with Steppenwolf in command, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) trying to assemble the superheroes under the motto "Divided we are not enough", and of course Flash (Ezra Miller) cracking jokes, as he has in every preview.
The Plot and the Mother Boxes
The story unfolds after Superman's death in Batman v Superman, with Batman recruiting heroes to face a new threat called Steppenwolf, Darkseid's nephew, who commands an army of parademons. Their goal on Earth is to obtain the three Mother Boxes, which allow the creation of dimensional portals. Each character will have an important role, and one of the most anticipated moments is the appearance of Superman, which can be glimpsed at the end of the Comic-Con trailer.
