DLSS-NR-on-AMD Alpha 0.8.0 adds Frame Generation and bundles FSR 4.1.1. Daniel Blanco published the release on October 17, 2026. The project’s release history assigns DLSS Super Resolution 4.5 and Ray Reconstruction to Alpha 0.7.0, not this update. Blanco’s release notes also make Frame Generation’s game-input requirement clear: titles must provide DLSS Frame Generation inputs.

Alpha 0.7.0DLSS Super Resolution 4.5 and Ray ReconstructionRay Reconstruction requires DLSS-RR ray-traced inputs from the game.
Alpha 0.8.0DLSS Frame Generation, bundled FSR 4.1.1, and RDNA 3 support for DirectX 12 mode, DLSS-SR and DLSS-RRFrame Generation requires DLSS-FG inputs and supports up to 4× MFG.

What 4× MFG means

The 4× figure is the maximum Multi Frame Generation mode listed for the mod. It describes frame generation, not a fourfold increase in the GPU’s conventionally rendered performance. A game must supply the DLSS-FG inputs for the feature to work.

Alpha 0.8.0 also bundles FSR 4.1.1, so the mod no longer depends on the driver-provided version. That is separate from the release history’s earlier addition of FSR upscaling in Alpha 0.7.0.

The earlier version brought Super Resolution and Ray Reconstruction

Alpha 0.7.0 introduced the project’s DLSS Super Resolution 4.5 implementation, with native ports of models M and L. The release notes say model L works at any upscaling ratio. That version also added Ray Reconstruction using a native HIP and DirectX 12 port of model F. The game must provide DLSS-RR ray-traced inputs for it to work.

DLSS-NR-on-AMD is an unofficial community project for Radeon GPUs. It is a separate effort from community projects for older GeForce RTX cards covered in NeoTeo’s earlier report.

NeuralHub changes and release claims

Alpha 0.8.0’s NeuralHub supports Game Pass games, lets users choose the mod’s installation location and centralizes large files instead of requiring a separate copy in each game folder. Users can also import DLLs in its settings to reuse them across games.

The release notes claim a 6–16% performance increase under heavy DirectX 12 gameplay loads. Separately, they claim a 25% Neural Rendering performance improvement on RDNA 3. The two figures concern different scopes: one covers heavy DirectX 12 gameplay loads, while the other concerns Neural Rendering on RDNA 3.

The release lists the new Epic Games launcher as unsupported and says manually adding some games can fail.
