Call of Duty has scheduled the Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 integration with Warzone for November 6, 2026. The announced update brings two new maps, returning locations, shared progression, gameplay changes and new weapon options; it also names Nintendo Switch 2 as a platform for Warzone and says support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will end with the update. Call of Duty’s announcement sets a schedule, not a completed rollout.

New maps, modes and returning locations
Hajin is the new Battle Royale map, spanning North and South Korea, with 13 major points of interest. Zodiac, a South Korean map with 10 points of interest, is designed for Resurgence. Its announced layout includes underground routes, moving trains and environmental hazards. The two maps also have different tactical textures: Call of Duty says Hajin’s Battle Royale version differs from its DMZ counterpart in circle and gas behavior, vehicles, and the placement of interactive objects and supply caches. The Hanuel reactor radiation cloud is absent from the Battle Royale version.
The announced mode rotation pairs Battle Royale and Casual Battle Royale with Hajin and Verdansk, and Resurgence and Casual Resurgence with Zodiac and Rebirth Island. Verdansk is scheduled to return midway through the season with new points of interest; Rebirth Island is due back during Season 1.
Three limited-time modes have specific maps and lobby sizes:
| Mode | Map | Maximum players |
| Rally Point | Zodiac | 20 |
| Massive Resurgence | Hajin | 120 |
| Loaded Resurgence | Zodiac or Rebirth Island | 44 |
Rally Point is built for drop-in, drop-out play, with no circle and unlimited Resurgence. Its listed rewards include a weapon blueprint and two camos. Rockets and Snipers and Extreme Resurgence are also planned for mid-season.
Shared progression and match changes
At the integration, player level is scheduled to reset, while progression and prestige will be shared across Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone. The Warzone arsenal is set to include the 33 Modern Warfare 4 launch weapons, additional weapons arriving during Season 1 and Apex attachments. Operators and other listed content from Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 are also set to carry into Warzone.
Some familiar mechanics are changing. Tactical Sprint will be available to every Operator without a Perk, but will last for less time. Players will be able to drag a teammate while reviving them. Call of Duty also lists weapon-balance changes, improved map visibility and clearer footstep audio, alongside equipment such as a deployable zipline launcher and a drone that can retrieve loot, objects and downed Operators.
Elite Perks and classic weapons
The three match-acquired Elite Perks each serve a different purpose: Athleticism improves lateral movement, crouching and aiming; Ghost hides an Operator from enemy reconnaissance killstreaks, equipment and perks; and Survival Skills speeds up armor and equipment recovery during longer fights. They occupy a fourth perk slot, and only one can be equipped at a time.
Returning classic weapons from Modern Warfare II through Black Ops 7 will sit in a separate tab. Each classic base weapon has a five-attachment version, and classic blueprints can be unlocked with player XP in the Armory after starting locked. These weapons cannot use Modern Warfare 4 mastery camos, reticle challenges, weapon customization, cosmetic Gunsmith or model codes and sharing.
Platform support and mastery camos
Call of Duty names Nintendo Switch 2 for Warzone’s handheld debut with Season 1. The same update is scheduled to end support for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players moving to a compatible platform can carry over progress by using the same linked Activision account.
The three Warzone mastery camos have ordered requirements. Parallax follows its stated prerequisite and requires five kills in a match 300 times. Damascus Reforged follows the first Warzone mastery challenge and requires two kills without armor 200 times. Empyros follows the second challenge and requires a top-five finish with at least six kills 75 times.
