Geely Smart Charging C12 was reported in service on Sept. 29, 2026, in Hangzhou, Shanghai, Ningbo, Jiaxing and Xi’an. The five-city rollout followed Geely’s Sept. 23 announcement of its AI-powered charging system and fifth-generation station.
Geely and BYD’s published charging figures
Geely rates its fifth-generation station at up to 2,250 kW. The company reports that the Lynk & Co 10 and Zeekr 001 charged from 10% to 70% in 4 minutes 30 seconds, and from 10% to 97% in 8 minutes 40 seconds.
BYD gives its second-generation FLASH Charging system a peak of up to 1,500 kW through one connector. The company says its system can charge from 10% to 70% in five minutes and from 10% to 97% in nine minutes. These are each manufacturer’s published figures, rather than results from a shared test.
| System | Announced peak rating | 10% to 70% | 10% to 97% |
| Geely Smart Charging; Lynk & Co 10 and Zeekr 001 | Up to 2,250 kW at the station | 4 min 30 sec, reported by Geely | 8 min 40 sec, reported by Geely |
| BYD second-generation FLASH Charging | Up to 1,500 kW through one connector | 5 min, stated by BYD | 9 min, stated by BYD |
NeoTeo’s earlier coverage of Geely’s Shendun Golden Battery claims focused on battery charging results. The C12 rollout concerns the charging network itself.
What the 2,250 kW rating means
The 2,250 kW figure is the station’s announced peak rating. Geely’s vehicle results are charging intervals—the time taken to reach stated battery charge levels—rather than a continuous vehicle-side power figure.
Geely says its Xingrui PowerMind AI energy model, developed with StepFun, predicts battery-temperature changes up to 30 seconds ahead and adjusts charging power. The company describes average battery temperatures below 55°C and peak temperatures below 65°C as design targets. It also describes five-point liquid cooling across the station’s energy-storage battery, charging equipment, cable, vehicle charging port and battery pack.
