We're one week into the Nintendo Switch, and everybody has been blown away by how well the new Zelda: Breath of the Wild runs. But besides the countless compliments for the game and the console itself, the first user complaints have also started to arrive.

Nintendo Says Dead Pixels on the Switch Are Not a Defect

What happened is quite unusual. In response to some complaints about dead pixels on the Switch's screen, Nintendo's official page had this to say:

A small number of dead pixels is a characteristic of LCD screens. These are normal and should not be considered a defect.

It doesn't seem like the best start if these problems start to appear and the company gives such carefree responses. Yes, LCD screens often contain a dead pixel, but perhaps this response could have been justified 10 years ago. In recent years, many LCD panel manufacturers have decided to have zero tolerance regarding this issue. And even more so when it comes to a high-quality product with a price that, although not excessive, should not have any flaws.

We hope that Nintendo comes out with a slightly more conciliatory response and shows that it is closer to its users, because even though the Switch is a sales success and we all expect great titles, they should not take advantage of users' affection for their consoles.
